Benue Youths Kills Prophet Over Missing Manhood

Yet to be identified angry Youths in Daudu under Guma local government area of Benue state, Were reported to have killed one Prophet Uhembe Jacob of Divine Shadow Church.

Uhembe was murdered after being accused of spearheading mysterious disappearances of manhood in recent times in the area.

It would be recalled that Uhembe’s Church as well as some buildings connected to him and an alleged accomplice, were burnt down last week over the same claims.

Uhembe who is the founder of the church, was accused by members of the community of charging  N12,000 from each victim of the alleged missing organ before healing them.

The pastor was said to have been apprehended and murdered by the irate youths who buried him in a shallow grave while trying to escape to a village in Nasarawa State.

A person who pleaded anonymity chipped that the Suspect rather than run to the Daudu Divisional Police Officer, decided to run away out of fear.

“Sadly, it was while he was running away in his car that the youths who apparently were on his trail, caught him and  killed him in a village along Lafia road”.

It was gathered that Uhembe’s killing sparked a counter protest from his Church members who on Sunday, trooped out with his posters to demand justice for him.
Confirming the incident ,the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Catherine Anene disclosed that they had not gotten any clue to track down those who committed the heinous crime.

She gave assurance that the police are doing everything within its power to bring the perpetrators to face the wrath of the law.

According to the image maker investigation is in progress to unravel the mystery surrounding the killing.
