Buhari Makes New Appointments From London

Nigeria’s President Muhamadu Buhari has again approved the appointment of a Northerner identified as Ambassador Rabiu Dagari to be the new Director-General of the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa (DTCA).

Disclosing details of the appointment in a letter dated April 8, 2021, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Gabriel Adudu revealed that the appointment will be for an initial period of four years effective from March 16, 2021.

The experienced new DG DTCA who at a time served in various departments, hails from Nguru, Yobe State and he is also a member of the Senior Executive Course 28, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.

Meanwhile, Buhari had also appointed Professor Eghosa Emmanuel Osaghae of the Department of Political Science, in the University of Ibadan as the new Director-General of the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).

Although President Buhari is currently on a two weeks medical leave in London, that has not stopped him from going about his responsibility as the number one citizen of the country.
