Insecurity: Buhari Assures Proactive Policing

President Muhammadu Buhari said security of lives and properties of Nigerians is part of his administration’s policy trust which he will continue to give a top priority.

The President gave the assurance on Wednesday, on the occasion of the Official Commissioning of the Police Mobile Force training College at Ende Hills in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Council of Nasarawa State.
 Represented by the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Dingyadi, the president said his administration is concern about the security of Nigerians, adding that it will continue to explore proactive policing to achieve result.
The President who commended Men of the Nigeria Police Force for their steadfast and sacrifices in the fight against insecurity, said the project upon its completion will contribute greatly to the security plans of the Country.
He applauded the Nasarawa State government for its support so far towards the Project as well as urged it to do more.
Earlier, Governor Abdullahi Sule who appreciated the President for approving the sitting of the College in Nasarawa State, said the College will be another avenue for Police Personnel to add more knowledge to themselves as well as strengthen the effort to curb security challenges in the Country.
Sule who commended the Federal Government for degrading activities of Boko Haram, Kidnapping, Banditry, farmers and herders conflicts in the past few Years, said inspite of this effort the Nation is current my witnessing the resurgence of criminal elements.
This according to him calls for re strategize to be able to combat the situation.
He promised that his administration will continue to complement the effort of Federal Government by proving the necessary logistic support to enhance effective operation in the fight against crime in the state.
In his remarks, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, who assured Nigerians the determination of the Police Force to continue to explore innovative approaches towards restoring a stable security order in the Country, appealed for support from Nigerians to enable the Force deliver the policing services that will meet the expectation of the people.
