Facts have emerged on how popular comic actor, John Okafor, commonly known as Mr. Ibu died at the Evacare Hospital in Lagos.

He was aged, 62.

The veteran Nollywood actor was said to have suffered a cardiac arrest after his blood pressure escalated to over 200.

Frantic efforts by doctors to stabilise his life threatening BP however failed to yield desired result, according to reports.

The late Okafor had a prolonged battle with severe blood clotting in his legs occasioned by underlying health challenges, resulting in multiple surgeries being performed on him to save his life in October 2023 and his leg amputated.

Unfortunately, his health conditioned dipped until he reportedly succumbed to the cruel claws of death on Saturday, March 2.

Twenty-one months ago, precisely in May 2022, the celebrated actor had alleged that he had been poisoned on three occasions.

“I was already seeing people on the other side”, he had said in an interview with Vanguard, but expressed gratitude to God for being alive.

“My illness was perpetrated by people that hate me. They did what they did to me. Later, I was taken to the hospital. The doctors are prophets. So, they went into my system and they told me what was wrong and what they were going to do. I said whatever you are going to do, please, do it, let me live because if I die like this the enemies will laugh. And then the doctors said okay, there’s no problem”, he had further remarked.

Earlier in 2019, Mr. Ibu had alleged that his kinsmen paid some of his domestic workers to poison him because of his successful career.
