2 Chinese Expatriates In Sneaky Visit To Lovers Kidnapped

Two Chinese expatriates who slipped out of the premises of their workplace to visit their lady friends without the knowledge of the military and police security details attached to them have been reportedly abducted by yet-to-be identified gangsters.

Chen Wenguang and Liang Ding, both staff of Good One Carton Company Nigeria Limited, Kemta Abule- Owu area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, left the company premises unofficially at about 12.45pm on Sunday, August 11, to Kemta Village, a distance of about one kilometer away, during which they were abducted.

The police said their lady friends, Joy Ogungbesan and Naomi Joseph have been invited for interrogation on the circumstances surrounding the incident as investigation has begun.

Okache Simon, the company’s security supervisor reported the incident to the Ewekoro Division of the Ogun State Police Command at about 4.30pm on the day it occurred, prompting a swift rescue effort by a combined team of police operatives, soldiers and members of volunteer security groups.

Simon had further told the police that the company’s warehouse manager, Wu Wenhai, also a Chinese, had received a phone call with the callers’ number concealed, notifying him of the abduction of his colleagues and demanding payment of ransom before Wenguang, aged 54 and Ding, 57, will be freed.

Police detectives and local hunters at Kemta village are combing the area to rescue the victims and track down the hoodlums, Scudnews learned as of the time of this report.
