Ten persons are reported missing following an attack by armed bandits on Shadadi village in Bangi, Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State on Monday.

The bandits were said to have invaded the community at about 8.55am, shooting sporadically to scare residents before breaking into homes. A witness said they ransacked several shops and carted away foodstuff and provisions.

Reports said a day earlier, armed bandits riding on motorbikes in dozens from Dansadau in Zamfara State through Wasagu-Danko axis of Kebbi State, had invaded Kwimo, Gulbin Boka, Kurra and Mahoro villages in the same Mariga local council in Niger State, during which a resident simply identified as Papa John, was shot dead.
