Police operatives on a raid of a black spot in Calabar, Cross Rivers State, made a shocking find with the alleged recovery of 170 wraps of hard drugs in possession of two young women.
The suspected female drug merchants identified as Peace White and Promise Patrick, were reportedly arrested at about 9.30pm on Sunday, April 18, during a raid on a criminal hideout on Dr. Edem Street, off Nyak Essang, in Calabar, the state capital.
A senior officer at the state command headquarters, who craved anonymity, confirmed the arrest.
He said 78 wraps of cocaine, 76 wraps of heroine and 16 wraps of skunk weed, were recovered from the two women who are in police custody as investigation progresses.
