No fewer than two hundred pilgrims are expected to participate in the forthcoming Christian Pilgrims at the holy Land from Benue State.
The Secretary of the Benue State Christian welfare pilgrims board, Mrs. Dorcas Taroh made the disclosure on Tuesday while in an interview with Scudnews in Makurdi, the Benue State Capital.
The Secretary of the board Mrs Taroh explained that following the global pandemic occasioned with it’s risk plaguing the entire nation, the number of pilgrims had to be reduced.
“We have drastically minimized the number of contingents below its usual allotment for Christians in the State with a view to curtail excesses and hazard in the State”.
She further informed the general public that a proposal is before Governor Samuel Ortom for approval of 200 pilgrims in the forthcoming spiritual exercise to the holy Land.
She however noted, they were yet to receive a nod to that respect assuring to keep those concerned posted soon as the request received a boost and urged them to exercise a little patience.
The board scribe also Eulogized the efforts of the state government for its sustenance towards ensuring the purpose for It’s creation was achieved.
