Nemesis has caught up with a man who allegedly organized members of criminal gang to abduct his uncle resident in Bolo community in Opu-Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
In a bid to take his uncle through a valley to hell, Ala Patrick, aged 30, who was said to have plotted the kidnap of his uncle, had set out to execute the act when the bubble burst.
On Thursday, May 20, Patrick and two other members of his gang identified as Ipalibo Daka, aged 29, and 26-year-old allegedly snatched a Lexus SUV registered JJJ 152 DM from its owner in readiness for their trip to Bolo community to abduct his uncle.
However, acting on credible intelligence, a team of policemen intercepted the vehicle at about 8.pm and aborted the mission while they were driving through Wakama community.
The police said a G3 rifle with breach number 7168 was recovered from the car which they confessed upon interrogation to have snatched in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, and were on their way to Bolo to abduct Patrick’s uncle, Ala Luke.
For Patrick and his two cohorts, the curtain has closed as they sing like canaries in police custody, telling detectives their escapades and how they left their victims in a trail of blood, tears and pain.
