Finally, President Buhari Sacks Service Chiefs

President Muhammed Buhari has eventually sacked the heads of the armed forces. Those shown the exit door included the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olanisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

He has also appointed news Service Chiefs, with Major General Leo Irabor, taking over as the Chief of Defence Staff.

Major General Attahiro is the new Chief of Army Staff; Air Vice Marshall I.O Amao, takes over as the Chief of Air Staff, while Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo is now the Chief of Naval Staff.
