A woman identified as a lecturer with the Nasarawa State University Keffi, NSUK, Ms. Igbawua Isaac, has been abducted by yet-to-be-identified armed men.
She was kidnapped at Old Barracks, Kokona Local Government Area of the state when the gun-wielding men struck at about 4.30am on Wednesday, December 27.
The police said teams of tactical operatives and military personnel have been drafted on the trail of the perpetrators with a view to rescue the victim.
Igbawua is the second female lecturer of the university to be seized by bandits within a period of two months.
Earlier in October, a lecturer in the Faculty of Administration, Dr Comfort Adokwe was abducted at her residence in Angwan Jaba, Keffi, when gunmen invaded her home, shooting sporadic.
This was barely two weeks after the kidnap of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) of the university and four students. The wife and daughter of Prof. Isaac Ogara were also whisked away from their residence in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital.
