Anxiety over the spate of kidnapping in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, heightened on Friday, following reports on the abduction of two residents in the wee hours of Thursday, June 17.
The victims, said to be siblings, were identified as Hassana Kasimu and Aminu Kasimu.
It was learnt that both are residents of Kasada village close to Pegi, a community in Kuje Area Council of the FCT which has become a hotbed of kidnappings in recent times.
The latest incident has reportedly heightened fears with most residents relocating to areas considered relatively safer in Abuja.
The police said a manhunt has been launched to rescue the kidnap victims and possibly arrest the perpetrators.
