Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Thursday commissioned 18 units of SEM – 919 Motor Graders, to be used by the state’s 18 Local Government Council Areas of the state for farming.
Akeredolu said infrastructure remained the bedrock of development of any society and his administration will continue to do more for the benefit of people of the state.
The governor said the launching of the graders is another milestone in the development of the state, indicating that these have been the yearnings of farmers in the rural areas.

“I urge everyone to go into farming because the state is known as an agrarian state and should be among the food basket of the country,” he said.
He charged chairmen of the local government areas to train personnel who will handle the graders, maintain them and use them for the advantage of the people and farmers.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Segun Odusanya, appreciated Akeredolu who holding firm to his key mandate that basic infrastructures were put in place for the development of the rural communities in the state.
The Jegun of Ile Oluji, Oba Olufaderin Adetimehin, commended the Infrastructural stride of the governor at all sectors in the state.
He urged the people to continue to support the Akeredolu -led administration despite the dwindling economy of the country.
