A frontline politician and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC),  in Ogbomosho Local Government Area of Oyo State, Prince Akintoye Simeon, on Tuesday decamped to the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the state with a multitude of his supporters.

He said the decision was based on the exemplary leadership of the state governor,  Seyi Makinde and  the level of integrity and trustworthiness demonstrated by Hon Oyeniyi Timothy Oyedokun, the caretaker chairman of Ogbomoso South local government council.

“There was no need for anyone from Ogbomoso South to remain in APC, because they were neglected, impoverished and ravaged during the outgoing administration of the All Progressive Congress (APC)”, Akintoye said.

He added, “The local government did not attract meaningful development during the outgoing administration; instead, lots of civil servants died, while the Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH), was marred by industrial dispute”.
