The National Chairman of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chief Victor Ike Oye says the party has not received appeals from governorship aspirants who were recently disqualified from the screening exercise.
Oye said that the screening process has been concluded and as at 15th June, 2021, no appeal has officially come to his table.
He added that sending WhatsApp messages to his phone does not in any way amount to official submission of appeals; that everything was clearly and explicitly stated in the constitution of the party.
The APGA national chairman, who disclosed this to our correspondent during an exclusive interview, also revealed that those peddling unverified information on his alleged removal from office were all self-seeking criminals and political buccaneers on an illegitimate mission.https://scudnewsng.com
Oye said, “They are misfits. They don’t exist. They are impostors and political buccaneers. They are nothing but criminals. They should be arrested and dealt with in accordance with the law.
“The screening has been concluded and the reasons why some aspirants were disqualified were clearly stated. The screening committee has given their verdict and when somebody is disqualified, he has the right to appeal. That is the law.
“I have not seen any appeal. There is no appeal on my table as we speak now. They send me WhatsApp messages. Is WhatsApp the right channel? The constitution says you must do your appeal or petition in writing and submit to the national office and not to people’s WhatsApp.”
Oye however emphasized that so far so good, the party has remained fair and just and that no other political party has remained thorough like the All-Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA). He said there has been no interference from anywhere and that the party has remained focussed with its eyes on the ball.
