One of the abducted students of Greenfield University in Kaduna State has been reportedly released by armed bandits.
The mother of the abducted student identified as Mrs. Lauritta Attahiru confirmed the released to Channels TV on Tuesday.
However, neither the Kaduna State Government nor the Police have confirmed the development.
Also, Attahiru failed to disclose the details of how her son was released and whether a ransom was paid or not.
Recall that some armed bandits invaded the Greenfield University on April 18.
Five students of the abducted students have also been killed by the armed bandits as confirmed by the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan.
The bandits had on Monday threatened to kill their victims should the Kaduna State Government fail to meet up with their N100 million ransom demands on Tuesday.
According to the bandits, 17 students of the institution are in their custody.
The leader of the bandits had also disclosed that the families of the abducted students have been negotiating with them, adding that the families had paid N55 million.
