Belgium’s biggest airline, Brussels Airlines, on Thursday said it lost 182 million euros ($216 million) in the first half of the year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Its revenues for the first six months of 2020 fell to 252 million euros, 63 per cent lower than the prior-year level.
The Lufthansa subsidiary transported two thirds fewer passengers between January and June, the company said in a news release.
“Due to the still volatile and highly unpredictable situation worldwide, it is not possible to make forecasts for 2020 as a whole”.
