COVID-19: FG Reviews Work-From-Home Order to Workers

The Federal Government has extended it directive to federal civil servants on Grade level GL 12 downwards, to work from home till the end of March as part of the measures to curtail the spread of the dreaded coronavirus.

Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, conveyed the directive in a statement issued by Abdulganiyu Aminu, Director Press and Public Relations, office of the HOCSF.

She said, “All public servants on GL12 and below have been directed to continue working from home till the end of March 2021”, adding that the extension of the earlier directive in adherence to the advice of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

Yemi-Esan noted that there was the need for a review of the work-from-home directive so as to sustain efforts at flattening the COVID-19 curve, just as she also stressed the need for all public servants to continue to ensure strict compliance with existing protocols to tame the pandemic.

She enjoined all permanent secretaries and chief executive officers to bring the content of the circular to the affected workers and ensure compliance.
