Mallam Halilu Pai, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Plateau, has urged the electorate to register in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise.

In an interview with Newsmen on Monday, in Jos. Pai said that the exercise was an opportunity for those who had turned 18 years and those who did not register in previous exercises to do so.

The REC urged the people to come out in mass and register because they cannot vote or be voted for, unless they were fully registered for the elections.

“There is even another opportunity, the exercise is not only through direct capturing, but there is also an ongoing online registration.

“You can see that we have been trying to sensitize and educate people in very many ways.

The youths, the people living with disability, women, the elderly, everybody that has not registered should come out and register,” he said.
