Delta CJ Directs Courts to Proceed on Christmas Recess

The Delta Chief Judge (CJ), Justice Marshal Umukoro, has directed the state’s High Court of Justice to proceed on Christmas recess from Thursday, December 24, to Friday January 1, 2021.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Delta High Court, Mr Timothy Agbaragu, on Sunday in Asaba.

The CJ said the High Court would resume sittings on Monday, January 4, 2021.

He further directed that the Easter Recess would run from Friday April 2, 2021 to Friday, April 9, 2021, while sittings of the Court would resume on Monday, April 12, 2021.

He advised litigants, Legal Practitioners, stakeholders in the administration of justice, staff of the High Court and the general public to take note of the development and comply accordingly.
