The driver of a school bus that collided with a train at an intersection in New Zealand on Wednesday has died.

The bus, with 41 people on board, was carrying high school students at the time, police said in a statement.

The female driver of the bus was killed in the accident, in the country’s North Island near Palmerston North.

No students were seriously injured, but some were taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.
