It was a gory end for a 14-year-old girl who was trapped in a grinding machine and crushed to death at about 11.am on Tuesday, June 29, in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
The girl, Fatima Bakura, was living with her parents at the Dalori Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp 2 Maiduguri, where the incident occurred.https://scudnewsng.com
She had gone on an errand to a milling centre within the camp to grind maize for the family’s use when her hijab was entangled in the machine which reportedly dragged her in.
Tears flowed as the girl who was crushed on the head and chest was certified dead at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTA, where she was rushed to for treatment.
Her distraught father, Mallam Bakura, who reported the incident to the police, told a horrible tale of how witnesses watched helplessly as his daughter crushed to death at the milling centre operated by a man he identified as Bello Musa.
The police said investigation into the incident had commenced.
