Hoodlums Set Ablaze Federal High Court In Ebonyi

A gang of yet-to-be-identified hoodlums in the early hours of Tuesday set razed the Federal High Court in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Spokesperson for the state police command, Loveth Odah, who confirmed the incident, said no arrest had been made, but investigations is ongoing to unmask the perpetrators.

She said the Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Garba, has assured that the perpetrators would be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.

“Hoodlums in the early hours of Tuesday wielding dangerous weapons stormed the Federal High Court premises and burnt part of the building. Though no arrest has been made, but investigation is ongoing”.

Meanwhile, a detachment of Police Mobile Force (PMF) has been drafted to the area to secure the premises.
