The Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, today, hands over to an acting chairman.
Professor Mahmood Yakubu hands over to AVM Muazu Ahmed (retd) as acting INEC chairman. Muazu will be acting in that capacity pending the  confirmation of Professor Yakubu by the Senate.
Professor Yakubu was recently reappointed by President Buhari for another 5-year term but his appointment has to be ratified by the Senate.
