A frontline politician and former minister of information, Professor Jerry Gana, on Saturday, decamped from the Social Democratic Party to the  main opposition political party, the People’s Democratic Party(PDP).

Gana, a former presidential candidate of the SDP in the 2019 general election, formally joined the PDP alongside other political heavyweights during the party’s North Central zonal congress holding in Makurdi, Benue State capital.

Others who also defected to the PDP include, Barrister Humphrey Abah, Ambassador Mrs Esther Audu and Hon Adakole Ijogi.
They were received by the leader of the party in the North Central zone, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State.

Prof. Jerry Gana who spoke on behalf of the defectors said PDP is poised to reclaim power in all the states of the North Central zone currently being governed by the APC and Nigeria at large.
