Kano State Government has awarded a contract worth N18.1 million for the construction of boreholes in 10 Almajiri schools and three others in the state.
This is contained in a statement by the Chief Public Relations Officer, Kano State Ministry of Education, Malam Aliyu Yusuf in Kano.
The boreholes are to be constructed in Almajiri schools in Bichi, Kiyawa, Garo, Albasu, Gaya, Warawa, Tsakuwa, Kibiya, Kanwa, and Dandishe as some of the benefiting schools.
Others are School for Special Education, Tudun Maliki; Government Technical College (GTC) Ungoggo and First Lady College, Mariri.
The state government said the decision was in line with the determination of Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje’s administration to enhance the welfare of students, improve personal hygiene and enhance teaching and learning in all public schools in the state.
