A member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Otuocha Branch, F.O. Onwuachi Esq., who was kidnapped some days ago has been killed by his kidnappers.
A source who pleaded anonymity disclosed to TheNigeriaLawyer that the kidnappers demanded for N30 million ransom while the family requested to hear the voice of Onwuachi before payment but all to no avail.

“They demanded money and when they demanded money, those monies were not on ground. The community had to call their sons and they rallied round for the money and the kidnappers contacted the family. The family wanted to hear from their son that day we had the apprehension that something had gone wrong. They said we should give them thirty minutes and they switched off their phone. They didn’t call back again. It was one of the people kidnapped that told us that while we were calling they had shot him” the source said.
He added that the kidnappers who initially demanded the sum of N30million, later reduced it to N10m.
“They demanded 30 million in the first place and at the end of the day we said we had N10m”.
