For Mrs. Salamatu Abubakar, spouse of 60-year-old Abubakar Sule, the joy of being in a matrimonial home over the years evaporated with the speed of lightning on Monday, June 15.

It was a day her world literarily crashed when her husband was allegedly caught in the act at about 2pm while forcefully having carnal knowledge of his 14-year-old biological daughter, Hafsat Abubakar.

Scudnews reliably gathered that the girl, who was rescued from the grip of her dad from the pit of hell, was rushed for treatment at a nearby clinic at Idu village, Karmo, a suburb of Abuja, where the incident occurred.

A witness said Abubakar’s wife, Salamatu, who returned home on the day of the incident to a shocking find, reported the case to the Karimo Police Division, leading to his prompt arrest and detention.

It was learnt that Salamatu and are daughter are presently a wreck, as police detectives probe into the circumstances and motive for the alleged abominable act.

Barely a week after the incident, a 35-year-old woman, Hassana Musa, suffered a similar fate. However, unlike Hafsat, she did not live to narrate her unpleasant encounter.

The lifeless body of Hassana, who reportedly hawked a local delicacy –Fura and Nunu, was reportedly found in an uncompleted building at Kabusa Garden Estate in the Gudu district of Abuja at about 1030am on Tuesday, June 23.

She had been reported missing a day earlier, but police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) said after her body was recovered, that she was suspected to have been raped and murdered by unknown persons.

Scudnews learnt that two suspects, Joseph Timyak Mallam and Onuh Daniel, have been arrested for interrogation in connection with the incident as homicide detectives at the Criminal Investigation Department of the FCT police command commence a probe. The duo are said to be security guards within the vicinity of the crime scene.

A security source who pleaded anonymity said meantime, Hassana’s body had been released to her family on request for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

Bala Ciroma, the FCT commissioner of police could not be reached at the time of filing this report but a top police officer at command headquarters confirmed the two incidents.
