A man resident in Kaduna State has sensationally pleaded with a Sharia Court to order his ex-wife who he had divorced, to return to him.
Abubakar Sani, aged 40, on Monday told a Sharia Court 1 in Magajin Gari, Kaduna, that he divorced his wife, Hadiza Isiyaku, out of anger and wanted her back.
He said Hadiza had aborted his twin babies, an act which compelled him to send her parking from his home.
Sani however said he had forgiven his former wife after she apologized for her action, and he wants the court to order her to return to his house.
Though he claimed Hadiza was willing to return to him, Sani said his plea before the court became necessary in view of the fact that her parents no longer support her return to the marriage
“I was angry when she aborted the babies, so I divorced her. She left for her parents and later came back to move her belongings. She apologised for what she did and I forgave her. I want her back. I have been secretly meeting her. She wants to come back but her parents are instigating her to leave me”.
Sani is worried, more so, as he said he learnt Hadiza was about getting married to another man.
But in her response, Hadiza affirmed to the court she was no longer his wife, having completed the period of waiting (Iddah).
However, the presiding judge, Malam Salisu Abubakar-Tureta, ordered Sani to present his witnesses at the next hearing on March 24.
