NGO Empowers 3000 Widowers in Benue State

At least 3,000 widowers and other less privileged persons in Benue State benefited from the benevolence of a Non-Governmental Organisation, (NGO) “ISHIBA” in Benue State.

The State Coordinator, Mrs. Modesta Edeh made the disclosure on Sunday, while presenting the items to the beneficiaries at Benue Hotels, Makurdi.
The items distributed include Sewing machines, tailoring materials, food items and cash gifts.

She explained that her organization is an NGO with the sole aim of rendering financial assistance as well as empowering beneficiaries through skills acquisition training in areas such as tailoring, Herbalism and other fields to enable them to be self sufficient and useful to the society.

Mrs. Edeh added that, “this initiative was conceived and nurtured in 2006 by Evangelist Dr. Elizabeth Praise ,a renowned Enugu born Clergy Woman. Since inception, the program has grown nationwide with offices and also spread beyond the shores of this country. Interestingly, the same largesse we offer at home is also applicable elsewhere”.

According to her, once you enlist as a member, you begin to enjoy all benefits accruable to a member.
