NLC Begins Minimum Wage Protests in Abuja, Lagos

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has taken to the streets to protest the non-implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage.
The protest is ongoing in Abuja and Lagos.

The Labour Congress and its allies had on Wednesday, threatened to embark on a nationwide protest over alleged attempts by some persons at the National Assembly to remove the minimum wage from the Exclusive Legislative list to the Concurrent Legislative list.

A statement from the NLC headquarters, Abuja, on Tuesday stated that the protest would hold in the 36 states’ Houses of Assembly and will start from the Unity Fountain Abuja at 7:30 am to the National Assembly complex.
