The Chairman of the Oyo State Independent Electoral commission (OYSIEC), Aare Isiaka Abiola Olagunju has stated that the government of Engineer Governor Seyi Makinde will not interfere in the local government elections in the state.
Aare Olagunju stated this while featuring on a radio show in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Tuesday evening where he said the Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration is committed to ensuring the conduct of a free and credible local government election in the state.
Further, Olagunju said the electoral umpire during his tenure will be non-partisan, while assuring that all votes will count during the conduct of the elections.
He went further to advise political parties to allow internal democracy to prevail in their political parties as this will enhance true democracy in the country.
