PAN Tiv Cultural Group Express Dissatisfaction With Current FG Administration

President General of the Tiv Pan Cultural Organization MZOUGH U TIV retired CP Iorbee Ihagh disclosed this on Tuesday in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

According to him, the Lack of inclusion of Tiv people into key positions in the present Federal Executive Council  is perceived by him to be a show of insensitivity and neglect of the Tiv people in the scheme of equitable sharing formula amongst nationalities in the country.

Mr. Ihagh made the declaration while Speaking in an interview with Scudnews, accusing the President of not carrying everyone along in his cabinet to the detriment of the Tiv nation .

He argued that as one of the fourth most populated ethnic nationalities “we deserve a better recognition as well as a share of equitable distribution of resources in terms of appointments and other benefits meant for the population”.

The one-time former Commissioner of Nigerian prisons lamented what he considers the height of lukewarm attitude visited on Tiv nation by the President Buhari’s-led administration second to none since inception of civil governance in the country.

The President General emphasized the need for the present leadership to dole out its Military personnel to trouble zones especially areas where suspected Fulani herdsmen had sacked residents and consequently depriving indigenous farmers access to their farmlands for the past 7 years.
