A massive movement of suspected Boko Haram members from Borno to Adamawa State, Northeast Nigeria, has reportedly raised tension in some communities.

Reports indicated that Boko Haram fighters were seen moving en masse aboard 22 Toyota Hilux vans and motorcycles between Ngohi village in Borno State and Kopre community in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Impeccable security sources said the movement was noticed at about 10am on Wednesday, April 28, but their destination had yet to be ascertained.

It was further learnt that as they moved, the Boko Haram fighters seized mobile phones from the locals to prevent them from intimating security agents on their movement.

In the meantime, military and police authorities, as well as hunters, have been reportedly alerted on the development, just as the Army Commander in the area simply identified as Lt. Col. Olusanya, is said to have been signaled with a red flag.
