Pfizer Nigeria Wins Great Place to Work Award

Pfizer, a research-based global biopharmaceutical company, says it has won the “Great Place to Work Award 2020” in Nigeria.

Olayinka Subair, Pfizer Nigeria’s Country Manager & Cluster Lead, West Africa, made this known on Wednesday in Lagos.

Great Place to Work selects the Best Companies to Work in Nigeria, whose outstanding achievement builds a better society, while creating great workplaces.

Subair said Pfizer won the award in the category: Small Sized Organisations.

He said report from the survey showed the organisation had a high trust index score and employee engagement score of very high comparing to the market.

According to him, the Pfizer Nigeria report is benchmarked externally with Top 100 Best Pharmaceutical company globally, which had over 23,000 entries.

He said that in comparison to the external benchmark, Pfizer Nigeria came out very strong in work environment and processes; Strategy and Direction and Talent management.

“Pfizer Nigeria is very pleased to win the Great Place to Work Award. This is an endorsement of our passion and commitment to creating an enabling work environment where our staff will continue to deliver excellence in bringing breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. It is inspiring to see the dedication of our colleagues and their commitment to Pfizer’s purpose as we continue to create a positive work environment”.

He said Pfizer Nigeria participated in an employee survey conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute, an independent research organisation, contracted for the purpose, as part of the Best Workplaces Programme.

“The survey provided Pfizer Nigeria with valuable feedback on its workplace practices, as it contributed to the success of this Award. Participating in the Survey aligns with Pfizer’s colleague engagement goal ‘Make Pfizer an Amazing Place to Work. This helps to measure trust and engagement levels and enable us to identify opportunities for improvement within the team”.
