There was tension in Okuku town in Odo-Otin Local Government Area, Osun State on Thursday as a yet-to-be ascertained number of armed men invaded a new generation bank in the community.
It was learnt that the armed robbers stormed the bank around noon, shooting sporadically in the air to create fear and scare residents as they made their wayinto the bank premise to carryout their crime.
The Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.
She said, “The Commissioner of Police, Mr Olawale Olokode, has led a team of police to the scene of the crime to dislodge the armed robbers and for possible arrest”.
