Twenty-one Commissioners of Police (CPs) were affected in a new posting ordered by the Inspector General of police, Mohammed Adamu, on Tuesday. Among them are CPs in nine state commands and others who were recently elevated to the rank.
A statement issued in Abuja by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Aremu Adeniran, indicated the new postings, with a female CP taking charge of the Oyo State police command. It said the postings are with immediate effect.
Those affected included CP Adeleke Adeyinka Bode, who takes over the Kebbi State police command; CP Philip Maku- Special Protection Unit, Force Headquarters; CP Ali Janga Aji, Sokoto State command; CP Ohikere Idris, Armament, FHQ; CP Daniel Sokari-Pedro, Commandant, Police College, Ikeja; CP John Amadi, Ports Authority Police, Western, Lagos; and CP Ngozi Onadeko, Oyo State command.
Others are, CP Mohammed Ndastu Aliyu, Enugu State command; CP Haladu Musa Rosamson, Border Patrol, FHQ, Abuja; CP Sikiru Akande, Cross River State command; CP Aliyu Garba, Ebonyi State command; CP Abubakar Umar Bature, Airport command; CP Yusuf Ahmed, Department of Operations, FHQ; CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, Adamawa State command; CP Babaita Ishola, Department of Training; CP Nasiru Mohammed, Imo State command; and CP Alexander Nengi Wannang, Commandant, Police Detective College, Enugu.
Also deployed are, CP Ari Mohammed Ali, Delta State command; CP Olofu Tony Adejoh, Counter Terrorism Unit, FHQ, Abuja; CP Sadiq Idris Abubakar, Peacekeeping, FHQ, Abuja;and CP Frank Mba, Force Public Relations Officer.
