President Bola Tinubu has directed that expenditure on all domestic and international official travels be slashed by 60 per cent, sources close to the presidency told Scudnews on Tuesday.
 It was learnt that following the directive, the President’s official entourage on a foreign trip will comprise not more than 20 persons, while 25 will accompany him on domestic trips.
In the same vein, Vice President Kassim Shettima and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu would each have five persons in their entourage on official foreign travels.
However, while the vice president’s entourage for domestic trips will be made up of
15 persons, the First Lady will be officially accompanied by not more than 10 persons.
It was learnt that the measure was part of efforts to cut down on the cost of governance and free funds for socio-economic development.
