He is popularly known as Butcher, but Abdul-Azeez Ibrahim does not work in an abattoir; he is a student of the Department of Library and Information Science, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun Campus, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, whose name connotes terror.
Residents of Imaweje, the university community where he lives in Ijebu Ode, and its environs recoil in horror at his sight; trailed by blood, pain, sorrow and tears, as he butchered humans, not cattle.
He personified crime and allegedly displayed an uncommon dexterity in armed robbery, kidnapping, murder, cultism and rape, all of which he is said to be a serial offender.
In the euphoria of his criminal exploits, his studies mattered less and he is presently spending an extra year in an educational pursuit dwarfed by a reign of terror which the police have ended.
At about 2.30am on Saturday, January 27, police detectives acting on credible intelligence report swooped on his hideout and picked up Abdul-Azeez, who is the second-in-command of the Supreme Neo Black Movement codenamed, Aiye Confraternity.
A search in his room allegedly led to the recovery of seven guns, including a Beretta Pistol loaded with four rounds of live ammunition and its magazine; two locally made short single barrel riffles and one pump action riffle with 10 rounds of live cartridges.
Others are one English long double barrel riffle; a locally made Revolver Pistol loaded with two rounds of live ammunition, one English short double barrel riffle, one Axe of the Aiye Confraternity and assorted charms for body armour, among several items.
The police said efforts have been intensified to arrest other members of his gang.
