A 300-level student of the University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, whose name was given as Blessing Olajide, has been allegedly murdered after being raped in her room in the Tanke area of Ilorin, Kwara State on Tuesday.https://scudnewsng.com
Although the details are still sketchy Olajide, who until her death, was a student of Agricultural Science, hailed from Oke-Opin in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.
The institution’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Alhaji Kunle Akogun, said he had not been briefed about the incident when contacted by reporters over the issue on Thursday.
“Sincerely, I am not aware of the incident. It might have happened outside the school campus, but, I’m not yet aware,” he said.
However, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirm the report, noting that “A complaint was lodged at F’ Divisional Police Station of the discovery of the corpse of a student.
“Our men were mobilised to the scene and they evacuated the corpse and took it to the hospital for autopsy. We met her naked, bruises were noticed in her private part, her mouth was covered among others,” he further stated.
