[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A 300 level student of Agricultural Engineering at the Michael Opara University of Agricilture, Umudike, Abia State, is telling the police the circumstances surrounding his alleged involvement in armed robbery.
Scudnews learnt that the student, Humphrey Ubanike, arrested by the police on Wednesday, March 3, in the process of committing armed robbery.
The police alleged that the suspect was arrested while shooting sporadically to terrorize the scene of crime with intent to rob.
It was further alleged that a locally made short gun, two live cartridges and a Toyota Camry car bearing registration number KRD 56 FK, were recovered in his possession by the police.
Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede, could not be reached for comments at the time of filing this report, but a senior police officer who craved anonymity, confirmed the arrest.
