Again, Gunmen Invade Abuja, Kidnap 3 Female Siblings, One Other
… 10 Residents Abducted Barely One Week

Four persons, including three siblings, were abducted on Sunday, March 28, by armed men at Kiyi village, a suburb of Kuje, Kuje Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

Scudnews learnt that the gunmen invaded the community at about 1.am and fired gunshots sporadically into the air before whisking away four residents, all females.

The victims included three siblings identified as Khadijah Musa, aged 23, Fadila Musa, 17, and Aaliya Musa, aged 13, as well as a 43-year-old woman, Saraki Meki.

It was further learnt that the gunmen shot and injured the 50-year-old father of the siblings, Musa Ibrahim, who was reportedly rushed to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Gwagwalada, for treatment.

The police said a patrol team which was drafted in response to a distress call, recovered nine expended shells and one live round of AK-47 ammunition.

Sunday’s attack is the second incident of abduction recorded at Kiyi village within four days. On Wednesday, March 24, yet-to-be-identified gunmen invaded the community at about 1.30am in a commando manner and abducted four residents including a pastor of the Redeemed Church identified as Abdulsalam Olalekan.

Also abducted in the attack was a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musa Isa, Suleiman Snu, and an unidentified victim.

Bouyed by the progressive success in their escapades, armed men have upped their game within the FCT in the past one month.

Besides the two incidents at Kiyi village, armed men have invaded Byazhin community in Kubwa, a suburb of Abuja, thrice, and abducted no fewer than five residents.

On March 19, gunmen numbering about 10 reportedly attacked the residence of a staff of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Emmanuel Offie, aged 48, at Chikakuri Layout, Byazhin, and abducted him alongside his 11-year-old son, Emmanuel Izuchukwu Offie junior.
