Five residents of Bukpe community in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have been reportedly abducted by gunmen suspected to be bandits late Monday night.
Locals said armed men numbering about 10 attacked the community on August 22, and seized five persons whose ages ranged between 35 and 65.
Among the victims were two men and their spouses, all of whom reside within the same area in the community.
Their identities were given as Yakubu Kaura, his wife, Baby Yakubu; Ibrahim Dakwoi and his wife, Monica Ibrahim, as well as John Ibrahim.
However, the bandits reportedly killed John Ibrahim, one of the victims whose body was recovered by the police at the surrounding bushes while combing the area on arrival at the scene in response to a distress call.
