DPO in Trouble, Redeployed

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A Divisional Police Officer (DPO at the Lagos State police command, CSP Francis Ani, has landed in trouble for allegedly abusing the fundamental human rights of two residents in the state.

Ani, who was the DPO at Onipanu Division, has been redeployed following the harassment and illegal detention of Tunde Abbas and Kabir Mohammed, spokesperson for the state police command, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement on Thursday.

He said some officers and men of the Division had, on March 19, persecuted the duo and the incident was recorded on phone by one of victims.

Adejobi said besides redeploying the DPO, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, also directed that policemen involved in the unprofessional act should face orderly room trial.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
