Efforts made at ascertaining the identities of the abducted passengers drew blank at the time of filing this report, just as it could not be confirmed if the vehicle was a commercial bus.

Confirming the incident, a senior police officer at the headquarters of the Kogi State police command who does not want to be identified, said “efforts were being made to track the kidnappers and rescue the victims who were all marched into a forest.”
