The Benue State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum And Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has assured Nigerians of availability of Premium Motor Spirits (PMS) to motorists now and during the festive period.
The Benue state Chairman of the Association,Comrade Joseph Gungul, made this declaration on Friday via a telephone interview with Scudnews in Makurdi, the Benue State capital. .
He emphasised that the quantity of the product in its storage is enough to sustain buyers beyond the period people are anticipating and urged motorists not to panic.
According to him, there were some hiccups during the global Coronavirus pandemic but that has been taken care of, adding that there is no cause for alarm.
He further added that the current leadership of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is doing all within its capacity, to improve on its services and in meeting the demands of Nigerians.
In his words “we are Working round the clock to collaborate efforts towards these realization and sooner or later, street hawking of petroleum by underage children and women would disappear shortly as offloading and distribution allocated to various states of the federation is ongoing”
Comrade Gungul averred that the issue of middlemen hoarding the products during and after Yuletide “will not arise as we have already taken measures to forestall such anomalies”.
