NYSC Deploys 1,800 Batch B Stream 1 Corps Members To Zamfara

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed a total of 1,800 corps members to Zamfara State under the 2021 Batch B, Stream 1 of the programme.

The State coordinator of the scheme, Namalam Muhammad-Taura, disclosed this on Monday at the swearing-in ceremony of the corps members, at the permanent orientation camp in Tsafe town, Tsafe local governments area of the state.

“On behalf of the NYSC DG Brigder General Shua’ibu Ibrahim, I congratulate you on the successful completion of your academic endeavors from your various institutions of higher learning.

“My dear compatriots, your call to the National service is an opportunity given to you by Nigerians, through the scheme, to contribute your own quota towards making this nation great.

“It is, therefore, my hope that you will brace up to this challenge and do your upmost best in Zamfara”, he said.

Muhammad-Taura noted that as one of the cardinal programmes of the NYSC, it has designed the orientation course as a platform for physical and mental training of the youths to consciously enable them face the challenges of the service year and beyond.

He stressed that the law guiding their conduct in the camp was carefully enacted to regulate their activities in all facets.

Muhammad-Taura, therefore, urged the corps members to be law abiding, live up to the motto of the NYSC, as well as participate in all the activities of the orientation while making judicious use of camp facilities.

The coordinator commended the Zamfara state government and the entire people of the state for their understanding, support and cooperation to NYSC operations in the state.

He also thanked camp officials, security agencies and all other stakeholders who had been supporting the scheme in the state.

Reports indicated that the oath of allegiance was administered to the corps members by a Magistrate, Lubabatu Kanoma, on behalf of the state Chief Judge.
