Yellow Fever Claims 17 Lives in Benue

Benue state Commissioner for Information Culture and Tourism , Mrs. Ngunan Addingi Briefing Journalists Yesterday after state executive Council EXCO shortly after the meeting.

Disclosed that 17 Persons lost their lives as result of yellow fever as indicated by medical experts after carrying out verification exercise to ascertain the magnitude of the disease that  plagued Okpokwu local government last week.

The Commissioner said  a team of medical personnel were sent to Okpokwu and Ado to vaccinate the people against the yellow fever affecting those axis.

She revealed that the EXCO consequently approved the Constitution of information and communication council (ICT)in the state.

Mrs. Adingi disclosed that about #62million is set aside for the three days Youths summit , stressing that the forum is non-partisan and involves all across the state.

According to her ”each local government is expected to bring fifty Youths including men and women as well as people living with disabilities amongst the 23 local governments in the state.
