COVID-19: Nasarawa Records 91 Cases, 4 dead

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has said that the state recorded 91 confirmed cases of Coronavirus as of Thursday

Speaking at an expanded security and the state committee on coronavirus meeting at the Government House in Lafia, he disclosed that 700 samples have so far been taken and tested since the outbreak of the disease in the state.

Giving a situation report, Sule said not less than 30 persons had been cured of the disease with four deaths. The state, according to him, has 39 active cases, while 19 results are being awaited.

He explained that the state government’s resolve to relax the lockdown was to enable the people continue with their daily activities. Towards this end, he said movement within the state will now be from 10pm to 6am, adding that his government will comply and enforce the Federal Government’s restriction on inter- state movement.

Sule, who charged residents of the state to comply with government directives on protective measures to contain further spread of the COVID-19, said his administration would do the needful to safeguard the citizens.

He commended people for their perseverance and cooperation since the partial lockdown of the state and urged them to take necessary precaution.
