For Obinna Okeke, the biblical admonition that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom made no sense to him.

Thus, the 32-year-old man who hails from Enugu State does not have the fear of God and exhibited uncommon dexterity as he expanded the frontiers of his unholy trade to the House of God.

On Thursday, November 10, Obinna made his way to Durumiri Catholic Church at Ogboghe, Abakpa Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State and allegedly broke into the sanctuary of God.

His eyes were on the Offering Box in which worshippers donated various cash sums in furtherance of missionary activities and his mission was to cart away whatever money was inside the box.

Obinna was optimistic of a successful mission having escaped being caught in his several criminal escapades in the past, but it turned out to be the end of the road for him.

As he attempted to steal the offering box, he was spotted and arrested by security men in the church who handed him over to the police.

A police source told Scudnews on Friday that Obinna is singing like a canary in custody and would be charged to court on completion of investigation.
